Six youths have been arrested for their alleged involvement in stone-pelting incidents during the summer unrest in Baramulla district last year, police said today.

The six youths have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Akram Dar, Mohammad Sharief Bhat, Javid Ahamd Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and Reyaz Ahmad Dar, a police spokesperson said.

All the arrests were made in Kreeri area and its adjoining villages in Pattan area, 31 kms from Srinagar, of Baramulla district, he said.

The six alleged stone pelters were evading arrest since long and are responsible for law and order problems in Kreeri area, the spokesperson said.
