Six Naxalites arrested from Chhattisgarh

'Six Naxalites including Oyam Badru, who was involved in the December 16, 2007 Dantewada jail-break were arrested today from Badepalli village,' additional superintendent of police BPS Rajbhanu said.

Six Naxalites one of them involved in the 2007 Dantewada jail-break, were arrested today from Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said.
       
"Six Naxalites including Oyam Badru, who was involved in the December 16, 2007 Dantewada jail-break were arrested today from Badepalli village," additional superintendent of police BPS Rajbhanu told PTI by telephone.
       
On December 16, 2007, around 300 jail inmates including 110 Naxalites escaped from the jail including Badru, after the Maoists attacked the Dantewada jail and the policemen on duty were assaulted and their rifles were snatched.
       
The police team from Bhairamghad police station alongwith special police officers acting on a tip off rushed to Badepalli village and spotted six men, who were moving in a suspicious manner were arrested, Rajbhanu said.
       
The arrested activists - Oyami Sona, Oyami Jaggu, Oyami Raju, Jaggu, Farsa Buddhu and Oyam Badru escaped from the Dantewada jail.
