Six killed in road mishap in Uttarakhand

The incident took place on Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway at Netala when the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle and it fell into the river killing five passengers on the spot.

Six people, including four children, were killed when a car in which they were travelling fell into Bhagirathi river in Uttarkashi district today, police said.
 
The incident took place on Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway at Netala, about 150km from here, when the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle and it fell into the river killing five passengers on the spot, they said, adding that a child succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
 
All the bodies have been fished out from the river, they said.
