Shiela Dikshit to meet Chidambaram, seek revision of transfer of officials

The Delhi chief minister said shye should have been consulted before senior officials were transferred out of Delhi.

Peeved at the centre transferring several top officials of the city government, chief mnister Sheila Dikshit will seek a revision of the decision by the home ministry tomorrow.
    
Dikshit said she will go to the home ministry, which effected the transfer on Friday night, demanding a revision of the transfer orders as allowing these officers to go from the city government will affect the important exercise of budget which is underway.
    
"I will go to the home ministry tomorrow," Dikshit said.
    
Top officials in the government said she had sought an appointment with union home minister P Chidambaram to discuss the issue.
    
They said the feeling in the government is that the chief minister should have been consulted before transferring the senior officials -- Delhi Jal Board CEO Ramesh Negi, Principal Secretary (PWD) KK Sharma, Transport Commissioner RK Verma and Industries Commissioner Chetan Sanghi.
    
The officials said the transfer of these officials will seriously affect the ongoing budget making exercise of the departments they are responsible for.
    
These officers have been transferred as they have completed more than two years of service in the capital.
    
The transfer of Sharma comes when the Prime Minister- appointed Shunglu committee, CVC and CAG are probing various alleged irregularities by the PWD into the CWG projects.     

While Verma has been transferred to Goa, Negi has been posted to north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.
    
Sharma has been appointed as Adviser to Lt Governor of Chandigarh, while Shrivastava has been moved to Andaman and Nicobar islands.
    
Three IAS officials -- Nutan Guha Biswas, Satya Gopal and Ved Prakash --- have been brought to Delhi.
