Sheila Dikshit's statement on Biharis irresponsible: Nitish

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today described the reported "anti-Bihari" remarks of his Delhi counterpart Sheila Dixit as "irreponsible" and said it reflected her "narrow-mindedness."

"Sheila Dixit's statement holding Biharis responsible for ills plaguing Delhi is an irresponsible act... we condemn it", Kumar told reporters.

"Delhi is the nation's pride and it is not the pocket borough of somebody. ... All citizens of the country have full right on Delhi", he said.

Bihar's deputy chief minister SK Modi also criticised Dixit's remark and said it was not expected from a leader like her. "Her statement was against the country's unity and integrity, besides constitutional prestige", he alleged.
