Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit was today conferred with the prestigious Dara Shikoh award by the Indo-Iran Society for her contribution to peace, harmony and brotherhood.
The award, comprising cash Rs1 lakh, a shawl and a citation, was given to Dikshit by Mushirul Hasan, president of the society, in a function organised at JNU campus, a release said.
However, Dikshit returned the money to the society, it said.
