Sharad Pawar escapes unhurt, this time ceiling fan falls on dais

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar today escaped unhurt here after the ceiling fan on the dais from where he was addressing a seminar, fell, police said.

Pawar was speaking at the programme organised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) here when the incident occured, Inspector General (IG) Jabalpur range, Madhu Kumar told PTI.

"The ceiling fan which was not properly fit above the dais suddenly fell about 4-5 feet away from the place where Pawar was addressing the seminar," the IG said.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Charandas Mahant, Madhya Pradesh Minority and Veterinary Department Minister, Ajay Vishnoi were among others present on the occasion.
