Leader of opposition in the Assembly, Shaktisinh Gohil, and former Congress leader Arjun Modhvadia, on Saturday, sent out statements severely criticising the chief minister for the allegedly enormous sums of money being spent in Bihar.

Modhvadia has alleged that the Modi-Nitish picture used in Bihar posters, is actually a picture of an NDA meet that has been cleverly edited to show only the two. Lamenting that crores of rupees have been spent on the campaign, Modhvadia has demanded that the expense of the posters and advertisements given out in Bihar newspapers be borne by the BJP alone.

Calling Modi a 'megalomaniac', Gohil pointed out that hoardings in Gandhinagar carry large images of Modi with a tiny image of Mahatma Gandhi in the background. He says that the government makes false claims of prosperity among state's farmers, when in reality, they suffer due to state’s anti-farmer policies.
