The quintessential villain in a Bollywood flick came to life as a resident of Nisarg society in Juhapura fired a gun shot in the air as a warning to his neighbour. The resident Jehangir Sama had an altercation with his neighbour Babu Sheikh on Saturday afternoon over a pit dug outside his house to pump out drainage water. This prompted Sama to fire the gun in the air as a warning.

Sheikh said his bike showroom was allegedly burgled by the associates of Sama. Sama who was allegedly looking for an excuse to vent out his anger at Sheikh came out of his house with two double barrel guns and fired a shot in the air as a warning. Sama is a contractor based in Kadi.

Residents of the society who were privy to the incident alleged that Sama had also brought at least 25 people along with him carrying pipes and swords. A resident of the society, Aktar Khureshi said "We were all here when the incident happened. We saw that Sama had even worn a bullet belt as if it was a war."

Sheikh said, "We saw a mob gathered outside my house after which we saw a shot fired in the air. We immediately informed the police control room."

A source said that a team of the Ahmedabad city crime branch also arrived at the scene of the crime. Police inspector of Vejalpur police station, MC Patel told DNA, "The matter is being investigated.  We have already seized two licensed guns from him."  A complaint has been registered against Sama and 11 people by Sakirhussain Sheikh, the brother of Babu Sheikh. A cross complaint has also been filed by Sama.
