At least seven people were seriously injured in a clash between members of two neighbouring families at Raipada village in Ganjam district.

At least seven people were seriously injured in a clash between members of two neighbouring families at Raipada village in Ganjam district, about 75 km from here, police said today.

While the seriously injured, which included three women, were referred to MKCG Medical College Hospital here, others were undergoing treatment at the nearby medical centers at Bhanjanagar and Gobara, the police said.

The exact cause behind the incident that took place last night was yet to be ascertained,

Almost all residents of small village were absconding after the incident, the police said.
