Seven Pakistani nationals have been arrested and their boat has been seized after they were found in the Indian waters near Jakhau in the Arabian sea, on the west coast of Kutch district, Indian Coast Guard officials said today.
The boat was spotted and intercepted yesterday evening when the coast guard team was patrolling in the Arabian sea near the Indo-Pak Maritime border.
The boat is named Al-Shakira. It had seven Pakistani crew members on board.
They are being brought to Okha in Jamnagar, where they would be interrogated by various intelligence agencies, coast guard officials said.
