Seven injured, 27 arrested as two groups clash in Bhilwara

'Two groups of the Muslim community clashed with each other while they were taking out two separate processions of Barawafat in Pur town,' superintendent of police, Bhilwara, P Ramjee told PTI.

Seven persons were today injured as members of two groups of Muslims clashed with each other during Barawafat procession in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district, around 260 kms from here.

"Two groups of the Muslim community clashed with each other while they were taking out two separate processions of Barawafat in Pur town," superintendent of police, Bhilwara, P Ramjee told PTI.

"They pelted stones at each other in which seven persons received injuries," he said, adding, condition of two, who were referred to Udaipur government hospital, was stated to be critical.

"27 persons have been arrested in this connection and extra forces have been deployed to maintain law and order situation," the SP said.
