Security beefed up in Kolkata after Delhi blast

Security has been beefed up in the metropolis in view of the blast that occurred outside the High Court premises in Delhi in which 10 people were killed, top police officers in Kolkata said.

"We are alert and security arrangements are being tightened," Kolkata Police Commissioner RK Pachnanda told reporters in the city.

Security arrangement in thickly-populated areas in the city is being enhanced, Special Commissioner of Police Shibaji Ghose said.
