Schoolboys molest 22-yr-old girl

A day after a 22-year-old student from Arunachal Pradesh was molested by a group of schoolboys inside a government-run school in Bharat Nagar in New Friends Colony of south Delhi, the police has not identified the culprits. The victim studied at the Jamia Millia Islamia University and the complaint was registered on Friday.

According to the complaint, she was going home on a cycle rickshaw, when some school boys passed lewd comments.

“When the complainant went to complain inside the school she was molested by a group of boys and forced to rush out, “said a police official. The victim did not complain to the police the same day. She discussed the matter with the her friends and the university vice chancellor before going to the police.

According to sources, the victim was also taken around the school to identify the boys involved. Some were identified who the police are still interrogating. The incident comes days after Delhi Police Commissioner YS Dadwal called for a zero tolerance policy towards any crime against northeastern women in the capital.
