Robbers target traffic police inspector's house in Delhi

Sanjeev Kumar, an Inspector with Traffic Police was not at home when the masked robbers entered the house but reached when they were threatening the women to hand over their belongings.

A Delhi Police Inspector became the latest target of robbers in the capital when six armed men barged into his residence and decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs2.75 lakh at gunpoint, officials informed today.

The incident took place in the Ashok Vihar residence of Sanjeev Kumar, an Inspector with Traffic Police, at around 9:30 pm yesterday, they said. 

Kumar was not at home when the masked robbers entered the house but he reached when they were threatening the women to hand over their belongings.

After threatening them all at gunpoint, the robbers decamped with jewellery worth about Rs2.5 lakh and cash Rs50,000. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
