Robbers flee with cables worth Rs 6 lakh

Aluminium cables worth Rs six lakh were robbed by a seven-member gang, which broke into a cable company in Sinnar locality, police said today.

The dacoity took place yesterday when the armed men entered the unit after roughing up the security guards and then locking them in a room, they said.

The robbers threatened the company employees with swords and choppers and fled away with cables and cell-phones of the staff, police said adding further investigations are on.
