Robbers attack police weapon room in Gujarat

A policeman was injured after a gang of robbers today attacked the police weapon room and ran away with bullets kept inside, near here, police said.

The incident took place in the guard room located near the office of deputy superintendent of police Limkheda where all the weapons and ammunitions seized or recovered are kept, they said.
       
According to police, the gang of robbers pelted stones at the police guard, broke the doors, entered the room and ran
away with 44 bullets of .303 rifle.
       
The process for identifying the missing items was on, while one policeman guarding the room Amarsinh Chauhan injured during the incident has been hospitalised, they said.

A complaint has been lodged against 20-25 unknown persons and further investigation in the matter was on, police said.

Range IG JK Bhatt and Dahod SP Vipul Agarwal also rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.
