Road rash: 2 youth die in accidents in Ahmedabad

Rash driving claimed the lives of two youth in two separate incidents on Wednesday in the city. On Wednesday morning, an AMTS bus crashed into an auto-rickshaw resulting in the death of a youth travelling in the rickshaw.

One Shambhu Bharwad, 17, a resident of Naroda was travelling in an auto-rickshaw when a rash driving AMTS bus crashed into the auto. Bharwad, who was severely injured in the incident, was rushed to the nearby Rudraksh Hospital for treatment. However, the injuries proved fatal for Bharwad, who succumbed during treatment.

One Viha H Bharwad, a resident of Ramdevnagar Bharwadvaas, lodged a complaint of rash driving resulting in the death of Shambhu against the driver of the AMTS bus bearing the number plate GJ 1 TT 8325. Naroda police are investigating the matter.  

In another incident, a youth was killed and another seriously injured as the motorcycle they were on crashed into a BRTS barricade. One Vinu R Vaghela, 19, a resident of Piplaj, who was riding his motorcycle in a rash manner crashed into the BRTS barricade at Danilimda crossroads on Wednesday.
 
The crash resulted in a fatal blow to Vaghela’s head, killing him on the spot. One Dipak Makwana, who was sitting pillion behind Vaghela was also injured in the crash. Makwana then lodged a complaint with Danilimda police.
