The investigation into the case of the explosives seized from a car parked outside the Ambala Cantt Railway Station has now been transferred to the Delhi Police for further probe.
Railway Protection Force Inspector Guru Sewak Singh said the investigations began late last night after the vehicle was seized and the explosives were recovered.
"The investigation has been going on intensively from last night. It was confirmed at 12-12:15 last night that this car contained explosives and it was later recovered. The Delhi police have now seized it and are now further investigating into the case," said Singh.
Singh further informed that the car was confiscated by the Delhi Police and was taken to the national capital for examination.
"Since this car is now a case property, it is being taken away by the Delhi Police," he added.
He refused to contemplate on this incident having any relation with the Delhi High court blasts last month as investigations were underway.
"It will be rather pre-mature to say that this incident can be linked to any other attack. The matter is now under investigation and facts will now slowly emerge," said Singh.
Averting a major tragedy, Delhi and Haryana Police seized a large amount of explosives, including detonators and timers from a car parked outside the Ambala Cantt Railway Station last night.
The car was bearing a fake Haryana registration number.
The explosives have been sent for forensic test. A team of National Security Guard from Delhi has been rushed to the spot, police said, adding the nature of explosives was being studied.
