Congress leader Digvijay Singh has emerged the favourite punching bag for Baba Ramdev's supporters at Ramlila Maidan where he is on a protest.

Speaker after speaker and sant after sant today ranted against the controversial AICC general secretary who has raised suspicion about the yoga guru's intentions on his protest on corruption and blackmoney.

The speakers -- sadhus as well as others -- reminded everyone about Singh's electoral defeat and questioned him on his remarks that Ramdev should stick to yoga and if he wanted to teach yoga, he has no problem but if he wants to do politics, then he should join the fray.

A sadhu, who claimed that he returned from Switzerland yesterday to join the protest, thundered from the dais, "is Digvijay Singh saying that murderers and rapists can become lawmakers and a sadhu cannot do that?"

A poet Saraswat Mohan Mani's pick for attack was Rahul Gandhi. He said a meal in a poor family and getting the picture clicked was not the ideal thing.

Another one, who composed a song, also chose to attack Singh.

However, a spate of attacks on Singh prompted the yoga guru pick up the microphone and instruct the speakers to desist from personal attacks claiming his agitation was not against any one or any party, an argument which he repeated umpteen times during the day after the fast was launched.
