ShareGorakhpur: Cutting across the lines of religion and polity, several leaders of various political parties today took part in "Encephalitis Bhagao Bachpan Bachao" (get rid of encephalitissave child) rally here.

The rally was organised by the Gorakhpur Journalists Association on the occasion of Children's Day.
The road show was also attended by school children carrying placards having slogans about the precautions to be taken against the brain fever disease.
The rally started from Indira crossing in Golghar area. Later a public meeting was also organised on the matter.
Over 506 children have succumbed to different types of brain fever in the district since January this year.
