Rajasthan BJP general secretary resigns

Furious over state BJP president Arun Chaturvedi's way of working, a general secretary today tendered his resignation, and decided to work for the party without any portfolio.
    
General secretary Rampal Jat told PTI here that he had constituted a committee for the coming cooperative societies' polls on the direction of the state president, but Chaturvedi disowned it, when a tug of war began between senior and junior party functionaries including Vasundhara Raje, the leader of Opposition, recently.

"I am hurt the way Chaturvedi told senior party functionaries that I prepared the committee list on my own. This was wrong and damaging to my party's commitment," Jat said as he sent his resignation to Chaturvedi today.

"I am neither loyal to any group including Raje's faction or anyone in party high command. I will continue to work for the party at the village level as the panchayat polls are slated later this year," he said.
