Rains in Delhi; water logging, traffic jams in some areas

The MCD central control room received 13 complaints of water logging and five complaints of falling of trees or tree parts from various parts of the city.

Rains were back in the national capital today after a gap of a few days bringing with it the usual problems of water logging and traffic jams.
 
The showers started at around 3.30pm in various places of the city and the rain gauges measured four mm, the MeT office said.
 
The MCD central control room received 13 complaints of water logging and five complaints of falling of trees or tree parts from various parts of the city.
 
The maximum was recorded at 35 degree Celsius, one degree above normal, while the minimum was 27.7 degrees, which was three degrees above normal.
 
The humidity was on a high. The maximum was 92% while the minimum was recorded at 65%.
 
The weatherman has predicted rains or thundershowers tomorrow with the maximum and minimum oscillating between 27 and 35 degree Celsius.
 
Among the main points of water logging were Vijay Enclave, Hanuman Setu, ISBT to Nigam Bodh Ghat, Minto Road under-bridge, Gupta Market, Lajpat Nagar and Adchini.
