Rahul Gandhi visits community health centre in Uttar Pradesh

Ahead of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati's expected inspection visit, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today visited a community health centre in Bhadar district and enquired about health facilities available there.

"The AICC general secretary paid a surprise visit to the community health centre (CHC) this afternoon and enquired about the health facilities available there," party sources said here.

Though posts of eight doctors have been sanctioned for the CHC, only three have been posted, they said adding that only one doctor was available today.

"Condition of wards was poor and only one doctor was attending patients," sources said.

Mayawati, who is conducting surprise inspection of the state, is expected to visit the CHC during her tour.
