Stepping up his attack on the Bihar government, Rahul Gandhi today drew parallels between the development claims of Nitish Kumar and the failure of NDA's 'India Shining' campaign, predicting that the state government would bite the dust in the Assembly polls.

"They (NDA) were saying India Shining and hence you vote for them. They did not go outside their offices or talked to farmers, tribals or Dalits... The results came and you told them that India was not shining and you needed a government of common man. In 2009, you again chased them and asked them to understand what people wanted," he said addressing an election rally here.

"The same thing is happening in Bihar. On one hand, the government of Bihar is telling India and the whole world that Bihar is shining. It is not asking you why people of the state are going to Punjab or Maharashtra. They are telling what bureaucrats are feeding them. But you and I know that Bihar is not shining," the AICC general secretary said.
