Rahul Gandhi reviews work at Rajiv Gandhi Petroleum Institute

AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi today reviewed the progress of work at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, estimated to be built at a cost of Rs500 crore near here.

Gandhi, who is on a two-day tour of his parliamentary constituency, Amethi, went around the construction site in Jais area.

The Congress leader, accompanied by institute officials, enquired about the progress of the project which is proposed to be constructed on 100 acres of land.

He is likely to visit some villages to take stock of implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, and interact with members of self-help groups constituted under the Rajiv Gandhi Women Development Project, party sources said.

Gandhi is also expected to interact with local party workers and panchayat representatives.
