Pro-Trinamool Intellectuals march in support of Mamata govt

Pro-Trinamool Congress intellectuals today took out a procession in support of the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal decrying 'canards' being spread against the administration.

The marchers included singers Dwijen Mukhopadhyay and Haimanti Shukla, painter Shuvaprasanna, and theatre personalities Saonli Mitra and Arpita Ghosh.

"We condemn non-issues being put before the government and exaggeration of incidents to discredit the government left a pauper by the previous Left Front government," Arpita Ghosh said.

The processionists marched from Wellington Square to Dharmatolla in the heart of the metropolis.
