An in-charge principal of a municipal school in Limbayat was thrashed on Wednesday afternoon by family members of a teacher. The principal was later rushed to SMIMER hospital for treatment after he fainted due to the beating he received.
Ravindra Marathe, 33, a resident of Krushna Kunj society in Dindoli works as in-charge principal at Municipal School Board (MSB) run school No244 in Limbayat. On Wednesday afternoon, while Marathe was in his office, a person named Yogesh Tambe entered his office.
Before Marathe could understand anything, Tambe and his friends started beating him.Hearing loud noises, school staff rushed to the principal's office and freed Marathe. By the time, due to heavy thrashing Marathe lost his consciousness and fell down. He was rushed to SMIMER hospital, where doctors discharged him later in the evening.
Sources said that the incident took place after Marathe misbehaved with Tambe's wife Vidya, who also works in the same school.
According to sources Vidya reported to school late on Wednesday, which made Marathe angry. After a heated argument, Marathe slapped Vidya in-front of other school staff.
Vidya told her husband of the incident and he rushed to the school and thrashed Marathe. However, Marathe had denied misbehaving with Vidya. "The allegations are false. Vidya is being used by group of teachers, who are against my working style. I am being targetted," said Ravindra Marathe.
Tambe claimed that Marathe was harassing his wife Vidya and to protest this he went to his office. However, Marathe started misbehaving with him and angered by this, he taught him a lesson.
