Prernatirth murder: Cops yet to arrest accused

The Satellite police are yet to arrest Kanji Rabari and Ayub who stabbed to death Raju Desai (32) near Prernatirth Derasar on Monday.

Desai is believed to be a relative of goon Goa Rabari.  Sources in the department said that the duo is admitted to the VS hospital as they have suffered some serious injuries in the incident.

According to sources in the VS hospital, the condition of Kanji and Ayub is stable. However, they are under police vigilance and will be arrested as and when the doctors declare them fit, sources said. Meanwhile, the police are on the search for the other accused Lalo, who is absconding. The police will also interrogate Kamal and Vijay Prajapati for their alleged role in the murder of Desai.

According to case details, Desai was murdered by the trio near Prernatirth Derasar on Monday afternoon. Police inspector of Satellite police station, MH Vasani told DNA that it was a dispute related to money. "Kanji used to ask Desai for the money, which was borrowed by Prajapati. Desai was the guarantor for the money. Soon an altercation ensued resulting in the death of Desai," said Vasani.
