Pranab Mukherjee wishes people on Dussehra

The Union Finance Minister wishes for steady economic growth and reduced fiscal deficit this Dussehra.

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today greeted the people of the country on the occasion of Dussehra.

Asked by reporters what would be his message on the occasion, Mukherjee said as the finance minister of the country, he wished steady economic growth and reduced fiscal deficit.

After immersing the ceremonial ghat (sacred pot) of the Durga Puja, worshipped in his ancestral home here, in the river, Pranab left for his elder sister's house at Kirnahar, three km from Miriti. From there he then took a helicopter to Kolkata on his way to Delhi.
