Chiranjeevi lashed out at the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party saying they were trying to "confuse our cadre" since the PRP was growing stronger.
Praja Rajyam Party president and Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi has reiterated that there was no question of merging his party with the ruling Congress or any other party.
"Some parties have been deliberately spreading canards about us that we will merge with Congress or other parties. Let me reassure you that it (merger) will never happen," Chiranjeevi told the PRP state committee at its meeting in Hyderabad today.
The PRP state committee meeting was held today ahead of the party president’s meeting with the five-member Srikrishna Committee tomorrow to present its case against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
He asserted that the PRP would remain a potent force in the state politics and exhorted his party rank and file to effectively counter the malicious propaganda.

Alleging that there were some "coverts" from other parties working in PRP, Chiranjeevi said the "doors are wide open" for such elements to make a prompt exit. "We shall never entertain such elements. Some have already left the party and the remaining, if any, too may go out," he said.
The PRP chief reiterated his resolve to tour the Telangana region despite the threats from separatist elements.
"I shall not be deterred by such threats. My opposition is only to those who are seeking to divide Telugu-speaking people," he maintained.
Earlier, a group of pro-Telangana activists tried to disrupt the PRP meeting demanding that Chiranjeevi support the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
The PRP workers, however, prevented the mob, which retreated after speaking to the television news channels.
