Thousands of students in the state will be able to hone their skills for cracking the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) free of charge, as a city-based organisation called Green Sparrowhas officially launched an online practice exam portal called www.e-gujcet.com. Students can register at the web portal and take the test without paying any fee.
Talking about the web portal, joint director of Green Sparrow Ravi Swamy said: "With internet accessibility available to even rural areas, the website will help thousands of students to practice and revise their curriculum for GUJCET very easily. We intend to encourage students to practice self study instead of going to coaching classes."
The website will give students access to over 5000 GUJCET oriented questions in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. The site will pose these questions in 10 different tests. Swamy said, "The questions are well researched ones and contextual to the test. We have tried to cover all aspects of the curriculum. The portal follows the same pattern as the actual GUJCET so that students can get used to the test and also verify their level of preparedness for the actual test."
Talking about the fees, Swamy said, "We have decided to keep it free for the time being. We will not charge any fees at least for the next one year. We are expecting round 25,000 students to register in the website before the next GUJCET. "
The organisation is also planning to come up with a Gujarati language version of the site in a short time.
