Police registers FIR in rape case after two month on court order

Over two months after a woman was allegedly raped here, police today registered an FIR in the case following a court order.

According to the 35-year-old woman, she was raped by her neighbour Savinder Kumar at gun point on October 4 at Dalelgarh village in Dankore area.

The victim alleged that she approached the police but they did not registered her FIR as Kumar was an influential person, following which she moved the court.

"Following the court order, Dankore Police lodged a rape case against Kumar," a police official said.
