Almost a week after a murder case was filed in connection with the death of two children near Indroda Park in Gandhinagar, the police are yet to make any headway in the case. Police have so far recorded statements of family members and others during their investigations.

Trusting the final report by Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Gandhinagar police converted the case of accidental deaths of two kids, Umang Nai and Jaydeep Nai into a murder case. Earlier, police had ruled out the possibility of death by drowning, asserting that both the kids were killed.

Talking to DNA, DD Chaudhary, investigating officer and police inspector of Sector - 7 police station, Gandhinagar said that police had recorded fresh statements after the murder case was filed. However, cops are yet to ascertain the exact line of investigation.

“We are clueless so far, but will soon get some leads,” added Chaudhary. Sources in police department said that Gandhinagar police has recorded statements of people living near the spot and also of witnesses.

“As many as 30 different statements have been recorded so far,” a source close to the development, said.

The Nai brothers were allegedly killed and their dead bodies were found from an idle car parked in one Rasool Mansuri’s garage. The police have reportedly recorded Mansuri’s statement.
