Old food scam may haunt Akhilesh govt

Ahead of Akhilesh Yadav taking the reign of Uttar Pradesh following the startling debacle of Mayawati controlled BSP government in the recent polls, Uttar Pradesh government is already caught in the web of old food scam.

An estranged Congress activist and lawyer Vishwanath Chaturvedi has sought lifting of stay on the pending probe into the food scam that was sown when Mulayam Singh Yadav was the CM and continued to enrich the state when Mayawati succeeded him.
