Passengers made to wait in airline as AC fails to function

The aircraft, which was bound to Coimbatore, was supposed to take off at 2.35pm but before it took flight, the AC unit did not function, sources said.

Around 68 passengers were made to wait for more than an hour today inside a private aircraft at the Chennai airport as the air-conditioning unit in the airline failed to operate, airport sources said.

The aircraft, which was bound to Coimbatore, was supposed to take off at 2.35pm but before it took flight, the AC unit did not function, sources said.

The agitated passengers including Aruna Purushothamman, the sister of Union Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi, were made to wait for more than an hour, they said.

However, the airlines concerned said it had cancelled the flight after three hours. The passengers were accomodated in another airline, it said.
