All political parties should come forward to have an alliance with AIADMK to strengthen it and save Tamil Nadu from the 'clutches' of DMK government, Puthiya Tamizhagam founder president Dr K Krishnasamy said here today.

Speaking to reporters in Dharmapuri, he alleged that the ruling DMK government has been 'cheating' the public by introducing free schemes, the money for which was being spent from public funds.

Besides not fulfilling assurances of two acre free land scheme, the Kalaignar Housing Scheme under which a 250 square foot houses is to be built at Rs75,000 was not feasible as construction cost was higher.

Krishasamy alleged that chief minister M Karunanidhi has violated the constitution by announcing extension of the scheme for five more years after 2011, as elections were due. Such schemes should be announced by the government which is formed that year, based on the financial position.

The chief minister's announcment that three lakh houses would be constructed this fiscal and 25 lakh in the next five years under the scheme deserved to be condemned.

Krishnasamy also charged that the DMK government's recent announcement of Rs1,000 crore road maintenance scheme was only in paper and would not be executed.

Referring to some Karnataka based organisations plan to agitate over the Hogenakkal drinking water scheme on September 30 he urged chief minister Karunanidhi to prevail on the Karnataka government to stop it.
