The Parliamentary Standing Committee would take an unanimous decision on Lokpal bill after eliciting the views of all political parties, LJP president Ramvilas Paswan said today.

"The responsibility of taking a final decision on the Lokpal bill has been handed over to the (Parliamentary Standing) Committee. It is taking views from all parties and will take an unanimous decision," Paswan, a member of the Standing Committee, told reporters.

He evaded a question as to whether the committee would be able to take a final decision by the winter session of Parliament saying he was not not the chairman of the committee to decide about it.

The Committee would finalise its report at the earliest possible, he said.

Paswan said the Committee had heard the views of Anna Hazare, social activists Aruna Rai and Udit Raj, political activist Jaiprakash Narayan, the CBI and the Central Vigilance Commission.

"Efforts are being made to enlist views of all parties involved elaborately," he said.

He described as impractical Anna Hazare's demand for right to recall and said it would made situation complex in Indian democracy.

Paswan advised Hazare to make his organisation a political party and contest polls and then he would be able to know the ground reality.
