Pappu Yadav arrested over student's death in Bihar

Congress leader Rajesh Ranjan, more popular as Pappu Yadav, was today arrested on the charge of trying to instigate students who have launched a stir against private coaching institutes here.

Police said Yadav was arrested when he was meeting students and others in the Bazaar Samiti police area. He was brought to Kotwali police station. Several criminal cases have already been pending against Yadav who had been member of different political parties earlier. Yadav was also a former Lok Sabha MP.

Meanwhile, police arrested the private security guard of a coaching institute in connection with the killing of a student Sachin Sharma in an "accidental" firing from his weapon during the agitation in the state capital yesterday.

Police also lodged an FIR against Niraj Sinha, an operator of a coaching institute.
