'Paa' makes debut at Gujarat University's science exhibition

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Paa is getting all the attention at Gujarat University's Science Excellence -2010 programme. No they aren't screening the movie, but it is the poster presentation on the movie telling the audience about the disease progeria that is getting all the eyeballs.

Apart from it, several projects on conservation of energy using new eco-friendly technologies also proved popular among the visitors. Around 1,000 students from seven universities of the state participated in the event.

The poster presentation on progeria was done by a student of M.Sc microbiology, Shrikant Panchal. The event is also a part of Gujarat University's diamond jubilee celebration as well as the botany department's golden jubilee

Sanya Patel, a participant from SP University whose project dealt with conservation of energy through the use of micro organism said, “With talk of global warming going on I thought this was the best project to take up.” More than 70 judges from different universities evaluated the projects on display.
