One more Maulana lands in Police net

A team of city police have arrested one Maulana Mustfizur Sayyed for fraudulently collecting vast sums of money here under the pretext of building a Madrassa in Mysore. The arrest was effected in Mysore on Sunday and the accused brought to the city, police said on Tuesday.
       
A fake Indian passport and some forged documents were recovered from Sayyed, a Bangladeshi migrant, who is also suspected of having supplied fake Pune university testimonials to yet another Maulana--Johar Mohammed---nabbed by police here earlier this month for cheating and practicing black magic. Sayyad has been charged with offences under section 406 and 420 of IPC and remanded to police custody till June 27.
