One killed in factory blaze in west Delhi

A labourer was charred to death today when a fire broke out in a vaseline manufacturing unit in west Delhi, fire brigade officials said. The blaze was reported from the unit in Keshavpuram area at around 3.25pm and 12 fire tenders were rushed to douse it.

The fire was spotted in the second and third floor of the factory where machinery and raw materials were placed, the officials said.

After dousing the fire after four hours, rescue workers recovered a charred body from the second floor of the building, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

A fireman also suffered minor injuries. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
