One killed, four injured in cylinder blast in south Delhi

The inmates were preparing food when the cylinder exploded due to leakage of gas, leading to the collapse of two rooms.

A young woman was killed and four others were injured this morning when a portion of a house collapsed following explosion of an LPG cylinder in south Delhi, fire officials said.
    
The incident took place at 7.30 am in the staff quarters of Nirmal dental clinic at Saidulajab village on Mehrauli-Badarpur road, the officials said.
    
The inmates were preparing food when the cylinder exploded due to leakage of gas, leading to the collapse of two rooms. The building also caught fire and two fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames.
    
Five persons, who sustained injuries in the incident, were rushed to the AIIMS's trauma centre where one of them identified as Tania was declared brought dead.
