One person died and eight others were injured, four of them seriously, when the vehicle in which they were travelling turned turtle at Shankarpur market, about 15 kms from here, this evening.
Police said the occupants of the vehicle were labourers of local Nuagaon village returning to their homes after a day-long toil in a local quarry.
The victims were immediately shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital here, police said adding that one seriously injured labourer succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
The identification of the deceased and injured could not be ascertained immediately.
