One killed, another injured after falling from paraglider

A man was killed and another seriously injured, after they fell from a height while paragliding, near a lake in Mussoorie, 35 km from here, police said here today.

The incident took place last evening when Sanchit, a resident of New Delhi, along with his family, approached Skywing Paragliding, a paragliding agency, at the Mussoorie lake.

Chetram alias Vinod Kumar, an instructor of the agency and a resident of Panaula village in Himachal Pradesh, took Sanchit on his paraglider. As the paraglider reached a certain height, it lost its balance and Kumar and Sanchit fell injuring themselves seriously, police said.

The two were soon rushed to a private hospital in Dehra Dun where Kumar succumbed to his injuries. Doctors attending on Sanchit said his condition is serious but improving.
