One killed, 40 others injured as bus falls into river in Bihar

Kaimur superintendent of police PK Srivastava said the bus fell into Kukurnahiya river at Babura in Bihar's Kaimur district when the driver lost control over it while overtaking a truck.

A school boy was killed and 40 others were injured, seven of them seriously when the bus of a public school fell into Kukurnahiya river at Babura in Bihar's Kaimur district today.

Kaimur Superintendent of police PK Srivastava said the bus fell into the river when the driver lost control over it while overtaking a truck.

Pranjal Kumar died on the spot, he said adding the seven seriously injured were rushed to the government hospital here, where their condition was stated to be serious.

The rest of the injured received first aid at nearby hospitals and private clinics, Srivastava said.
