One killed 15 injured in Bihar road accident

An elderly woman was killed and 15 others injured today when two buses collided head-on near Gandhi Chowk on National Highway 28 in Tazpur area of Bihar's Samastipur district.

Sixty-year-old Laxmi Devi, a resident of Daulatpur village, died when their Samastipur-bound bus she was riding overturned and fell into a roadside ditch, the police said.

The buses were on the way to Samastipur from Patna and another heading to the state capital from Samastipur.

The police said the two seriously injured persons had been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) and the rest were being treated at government hospital here.
