One held with hashish, ganja worth Rs60 lakh

Hashish and ganja totally worth Rs60 lakh in the international market were seized, and one person was arrested in this connection, police said today.

Police seized 640 gram of hashish and 197 gram of ganja from a residence here, and Biju (39), who was staying on rent, was arrested.

He was produced before judicial first class magistrate court at Ettumanoor which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.

He used to sell the contraband to customers directly, the sources said.

Biju was shifted to the sub-jail here.
