One Delhi labourer killed, another injured as iron rods falls on them

A labourer was killed and another injured in Delhi this evening when iron rods from a crane fell on them, police said.

The incident was reported from Azadpur at around 5.30pm and the deceased has been identified as Feroze. The injured has been identified as Wakil.

"The crane was carrying iron rods for an under construction foot overbridge. Due to some malfunction, the rods fell and the duo came under it," a senior police official said.

Feroze died on the spot while Wakil is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
