Under fire from allies and adversaries over the recent violence, a beleaguered J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah tossed the ball back into the Centre’s court on Monday  asking it to go to the root of the Kashmir problem and address it with all sincerity.

“A political dialogue between the Centre and different shades of opinion within the state must start in right earnest. My government is ready to act as a facilitator for such a dialogue,” Omar said while addressing citizens in Baramulla.

Meanwhile, curfew was re-imposed in Ananatnag town following the announcement of a protest march by the Hurriyat Conference.
